Air Methods Kentucky

 

Air Methods Kentucky is a full-service air medical transport system based throughout Kentucky. Our aircraft are available 24/7/365, with overlapping service areas of coverage that help ensure a helicopter is readily available for your needs. We operate 10 helicopter ambulances and one fixed wing ambulance, and our state offices are headquartered in Lexington.

 

We began in 1982 as the first civilian air medical program in Kentucky. In 1995 we became the first air medical program in the state to earn CAMTS (Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems) accreditation. With a mission of safety, quality, and integrity, Air Methods Kentucky is committed to providing its patients and medical and emergency service partners with a high level of care and professionalism.

Estill County EMS

 

Estill County Emergency Medical Services provides advanced life support services to a rural county in East Central Kentucky. The 2005 estimated population is 15,000. In 2006, ECEMS answered approximately 2,800 calls. ECEMS provides two ALS ambulances each day and an additional ALS or BLS unit during peak call periods (9:00am - 5:00pm).

 

ECEMS currently has 14 full-time employees, 10 paramedics, and 4 EMTs. We also employee 10 part-time paramedics and 10 part-time EMTs. All full-time employees work 24/48 schedule from two fixed base locations. All paramedics are required to hold certifications in ACLS, PALS, AMLS, and BTLS.

Marcum & Wallace Memorial Hospital

 

Marcum & Wallace Memorial Hospital serves as a regional referral center for a wide geographic region, including Estill, Lee, Powell, Clark, Jackson, Madison, Owsley, and Wolfe counties.
